I'm a Winner!
I've had an idea... maybe we can create a slideshow of images of the website and put it on YouTube or something! Howzat 4 one? I've searched that site. The YouTube ppl have no idea who we are... except me, probably. If we really wanna get famous, we need to be advertising ourselves on the sites that everybody knows about! I mean, Facebook is a great start!
QUOTE (Jellybean)
Hey there -
I think a YouTube video is a great idea. Actually we've taken this idea and we're going to run a series of contests about it, to get lots of videos submitted! The first part of the contest will launch today, so watch the General board for a sticky post about it later today - and we'll advertise it on the contests page of our main site too.
Hope everyone on the street team can enter the contest - and thanks a ZILLION for the awesome idea!!!!
Rainbow Flower - you are officially the Street Team Contest winner for October, for submitting this idea!!!!!!!!

I'm planning on becoming a comic artist! =D
There were six young fishies who lived in the colourful coral reefs in the Caribbean. One day, they accidentally stumbled across the secret plan of evilness... The only way the world could be saved was by using the Sword of the Rainforest and the Reef, which is placed where the Daintree River starts - on the other side of the world, in Australia. So the fishies decided to depart their homeland, friends and family on the journey to saving the world. They decided to name themselves TEAM FISHYZ! Despite the numerous obstacles they had to face, Team Fishyz continued to be confident and determined, and even though they each had different distinctive personalities and characteristics, they worked and fought together with the motivation of love, friendship and team spirit... You: come on, if you keep ranting you'll be spoiling the story... Haha, my friends, you've really got to actually read the story to really get into the spirit of it! It's designed to inspire kids and younger teens anyway... oh yes, by the way, here's the team members' profiles:
FLOWERCORAL
Human age: 12
Year level: 6
Characteristics: kind, caring, friendly, helpful, intelligent and talented, a naturally born leader and problem solver. She has a crush on Goldie, but he only sees her as a BFF.
Human age: 7
Year level: 2
Characteristics: funny, brave, mischievous, always happy but a little troublemaker. A 'nuisance' to the team - everybody wants to get rid of him when he's there, but misses him when he's not. (He is the only member of the team who is not a real creature, but a plastic toy whale who got dumped in the sea by its previous little owner.)
Human age: 14
Year level: 9
Characteristics: mysterious, rebellious, kind of destructive yet smart, has a witty mind and a sensitive heart under such a mask. Has a spiky back fin that resembles a crazy mohawk hairdo.
Human age: 14
Year level: 9
Characteristics: spoiled, conceited, sophisticated, high maintenance, always dressed fashionably, has a crush on Goldie and is jealous of Flowercoral.
Human age: 12
Year level: 6
Characteristics: tough, aggressive, sort of a bully, overly impulsive when it comes to fighting, and is Goldie's rival as they are both skilled at fighting... and PE. Flowercoral's classmate.
Human age: 1, 7 for dog age though
Year level: um… pets don’t go to school? Obedience school? She's in... wait, she doesn't go to one...
Characteristics: fun, cute, tender, Flowercoral’s beloved pet shell

Nostalgia
It's about a place that I have been growing up at from the age of 5 to 10.
5 years...
That area, from my old home on Trenton Tce to nearby Lindblom Park, had always been so vivid in my memory.
The greenery. The dazzling brightness of flowers after the rain in springtime. The sounds of birds chirping and raindrops hitting the roof rhythmically.
My own garden and my neighbour's gardens.
The landlord's colourful indoor garden.
The landlord's cat called Billy.
The old wooden playgrounds, one on either side of Dry Creek, flowing through my memories.
The sky filled with stars in summer night.
The golden colour of sunset showing subtly through the gaps between branches, thick with gum leaves.
The rocks settling in Dry Creek, which I always climbed on whenever I wanted to cross the river.
The tracks winding through peaceful forests.
The small, colourful lights shining silently on the Christmas tree by the house on the nearby street, when I went with my family for walks on quiet summer dusks close to Christmas time.
Going into the hills to watch the lights at Lobethal around the same time in the year.
Driving down to Tea Tree Plaza.
People walking their dogs, kids playing on the old wooden playgrounds in Lindblom Park.
Even the old sign in front of the park, which is now gone forever, enclosed only in my distant childhood memories, replaced by an all new sign giving credits to the Salisbury City Council.
Those can never go away. They're not allowed to.
Not in my heartwarming childhood memories.

Goodbye Sun, Moon and Star
Last night you left your gorgeous little boys - and I am so sorry that I didn't even watch you leave. For me, it had been a tradition that I stay up until midnight the night of my Tamagotchis' departures to look at them watch over their babies for their last three minutes on planet Earth, before responding to His Excellency, the Tamagotchi King's call to return to their home in Tama Town and beginning their long journey through space for Tamagotchi Planet.
But I didn't do the same for you last night, I was way too exhausted.
Sorry.
Goodbye Sun, goodbye Moon, goodbye Star. Have fun at home :)
Love
Your owner, TamaSweetie

Meh new story
Flowercoral is a young girl, a colourful little tropical fish living in the Capricorn section of the Great Barrier Reef. When evil strikes, she was separated from her friends and family, and ended up escaping into the heart of the Barrier Reef, where evil has not yet reached and was still prosperous. On her journey there, Flowercoral met a little boy named Whoo Hoo, a plastic toy whale who was accidentally dumped into the ocean by his careless young owner. Flowercoral told Whoo Hoo the whole story, and they travelled together for their lives. During the journey, Flowercoral looked after the little ankle-biter like her own little brother. At the Cairns section of the reef, nobody believed what the two told them about the 'coming of evilness', and thought they were mad. A young mohawk rebel, Golden Retriever, thought that at the beginning as well, until on one occasion, discovered the secret of the Gems along with Flowercoral and Whoo Hoo. The three decided that it was their time to act. As Flowercoral and Goldie got to know each other better, the young girl began to feel affection for him. Motivated by the power of friendship, team spirit and the strong connection they had between one another, the trio sets out on an adventure, up the river deep into the Daintree, and out into the vastness of the Pacific to the East. But evilness looms... Will merely three kids be powerful enough to defeat such strong forces? What will happen to their homeland?...
Join the fun in A Tale of Two Fishies and a Toy Whale! ^_^

My New Song
I WILL NEVER GIVE UP
CHORUS
I will never ever give up
I will never ever forget
That I’ve promised to myself
I will never give up!
I will never ever give up
I’ll forever and ever remember
That I told myself, oh self
You will never give up!
Striving for my goals
Reaching for that brightest star
I will never give up
Just like an on-the-track racing car
I will never give up
I’ll try my best to reach my goals
Because I heard the Lord tell me
If I do so
I will reach them!
CHORUS
In dangers and difficulties
In trials and defeats
In obstacles, in wind and rain
I will never give up
Looking up towards the sky
A beam of golden sunshine
From the Lord, giving us hope
Breaking through the gaps between dark clouds
CHORUS x2
Welcome to a New Day
Last of the silver moonlight splashes into the window
As I see the morning star it's disappearing into where it should belong
I could see the eastern sky it's stained with red and purple
And then suddenly
A golden glow bursts out
And morning comes along----------
Morning welcome to a new day
The sun is shining, birds are singing
What's so brilliant is the sky!
Morning welcome to a new day
Never should you miss this sight -
And don't ask why-----------
'Cause you know why!
:)
Cheers :D

Passionate writers
Here's a poem I wrote for my English assignment. It is based on a scene from Shatterbelt by Colin Thiele:
Disaster Strikes
The young girl’s mind, shattering in the imminent shock,
Her thirteen-year-old heart, trembling in terror.
Tears and fears filled her eyes
As she came to know
That all her friends, her family
Will soon come to perish
If she does not act.
LUCEAT LUX VESTRA, the escutcheon read,
A flaming torch burning,
Letting its light shine.
She knew it,
It was her time
To let her light
Be seen.
The shadow lying halfway past the three strokes,
Perfectly profound
On the weathered face of the ancient clock
That used the glory of the Sun
To tell time.
A sense of warning swelled inside her, a horrifying feeling
That could choke her half to death.
So alert she was!
Her premonitions were true,
She must let them know –
Let them know!
She began her act of rescuing,
As her cries echoed through the hall
Into the ears of every participant of the busy school fete
With her voice struggling
In depths of despair.
But still,
All her struggle
Turned out to be
Useless vain.
Why don’t adults ever believe? She thought angrily,
Why not?
Why not?
The flow of time, ceasing at this very moment,
As everything
Fell silent,
As if all life had dropped dead, just then.
The barking of dogs, whinnying of horses
The many merry songs of life in the South Australian bush.
The faces of humans, ordinary humans
That were weak and weary against the fury of
Mother nature,
Turning to see,
Those unstable mountain ranges
Shivering to her mighty powers.
Here's a preview of my latest novel. I haven't started it yet, but here it goes:
The mission that sent a spacecraft to Barnard’s Star near the Solar System launched in 2063 to search for life forms proved significant results 94 years later, when Magnus, Oasis, Smash, Dusky and Peach, five spectacular extraterrestrial creatures found on a small planet orbiting the star, were brought to Earth, their new ‘home’ – captured by force, that was. They grew up suffering cruel experiments at a place known as the Institute, a world renowned centre researching alien and mutant life forms. Determined to rescue all the victims of the Institute from pain and death, and also to find a life of their own, the five courageously broke free from the Institute’s control despite the dangers that were lying ahead of their unstable futures. At young ages, the five must stand themselves up against monstrous evil casting dark shadows above and in front of them…

Awesome Book! :D
Max, Fang, Iggy, Gasman, Nudge and Angel are 6 avian hybrids created from a biotech experiment, making them 98% human and 2% bird. They have wings, and with them come the ability to fly. But that was not enough to protect them from being hunted, and they must struggle to escape for their lives on a daily basis. Max is the oldest, and is the leader of the flock and the one with the greatest responsibility. She is attracted to Fang, the second oldest, who is kind of a dark figure. Iggy is also 14 like both of them. Nudge is 11, Gasman is 8 (not to mention his superability to pass gas xD), and Angel, at the age of 6, is the baby of the flock. At such young ages they must fight the many challenges, obstacles and difficulties (same things???) destiny has set for them. I wonder what would happen to them, mmm...
Cool book, I recommend it! ^_^ I don't usually like science fiction, but for some reason this book just caught my eye...

Jokes Galore!
A golf player goes 'Thump! Damn!' while a parachuter goes 'Damn! Thump!'
LOL! :)
Another parachuting joke:
There were two blokes parachuting. At about 600 metres, the first guy opened up his parachute, and as he turned his head around he noticed that the other guy still didn't do so.
'Aren't you gonna open up your parachute?' he asked.
'Not yet,' replied the other guy.
They were 500 metres above the ground when the first guy asked again, 'Are you gonna open it now?'
'Nope.'
400 metres, 'Now?'
'Nope.'
300 metres...
200 metres...
100 metres...
'Gee whiz,' the first bloke sighed as he prepared for landing. When they were only 1 metre above the ground, he asked again, 'How about now?'
'Oh,' said the other one, 'I can jump from here.'
!@#$%^&*~...
A farmer was going on and on and on about how much land he had on his farm. 'You see, it would take at least two days for me to drive around it!'
One of his guests replied sympathetically, 'I completely understand how you feel,' he said, 'I used to have such a slow car as well.'
:P
A woman was driving down the road to the Gold Coast for Movie World.
There was a sign by the highway that said 'MOVIE WORLD LEFT'.
So she turned her car around and drove back to Brisbane.
^_^
At the local community school, the lost-and-found centre.
'Hey, did you find a lunch box?'
'Here's all the lunchboxes we have. Hmm, let's see... this one's little Benny's, this one must belong to that big fat prefect...'
'Hey, do you know who I am, lil' junior?'
'Nope.'
'The so-called big fat prefect.'
'Well, d'ya know who I am?'
'Nope.'
'Well, that's a relief.'
ROFL
In biology class, the relief teacher was giving the students a test. As the teacher on leave had instructed, she had a bird in a covered cage with only its legs showing, and the students' challenge was to decipher the species of the bird by that feature. One of them had spent all his time on his PS2 that he was forgetting about studying completely, and had no idea, so he handed up his test blank.
The bell rang, and just as the student was about to leave, the teacher noticed that his sheet was blank. 'Hey,' she called, 'Who is this one who didn't do any studying?'
Everyone was staring at him - they all knew that it must have been him.
'You,' snapped the teacher, 'What is your name?'
The student sat down on the floor, rolled his pants up to show his legs, and shouted angrily, 'Guess!'
LMAO
Why is the person sitting there eating breakfast a serial killer?
Killin' all the cornflakes, man!

Olympic Games! YAY!
Get ready 4 the Olympics SHOWDOWN!
For the next 16 days, all eyes of the world will be fixed squarely on Beijing, the host city of the 2008 Olympics, the capital city of my motherland, my home country - China.
What do you think of when you hear the words 'Olympic Games'? Is it the athletes' aims to be Faster, Higher, Stronger? Is it the goals to pursue team and national glory? Or is it the unbreakable, constant and everlasting friendship of all countries in our world that sustains our persistence to work together towards World Peace?
Those words are exactly what the Olympics are for.
For love, hope, joy and peace are the keywords to the ultimate dream that is stated in 'One World, One Dream'.
Pray for them and our World in your sweet dreams tonight that anticipates the next morning and the bright futures.
Enjoy life and have a great time living it. :)

My Concerns About World Issues
Ahh! Too many problems! I need to talk to someone!
So I found the new teacher at our school. She is kind of like a Christian Pastoral Support Worker's assistant. I told her about my worries.
Here is the question she asked:
'So what can you do to fix all of those problems?'
I looked up into the sky and didn't answer her. I pondered her question. Yes, what can I do? Just something simple, just attempt to fix ONE of those problems for a start! I can start by a simple donation to charity, and take it step by step. Ryan Hreljac started from raising 70 dollars from doing chores and now he has built numerous wells in Africa, and now many has benefited from his actions and has access to clean water.
What can YOU do?

Sun is in the middle section, and Star is in the bottom. Therefore, Moon belongs to the Mame family, Sun belongs to the Meme family, and Star belongs to the Kuchi family. Just FYI :)

Prayers 4 Love and Hope
FINALLY something exciting's happening! I'm going on music camp with the school orchestra 2 M******* (letters blocked out 4 privacy - hint: it's in South Australia)!!! :) We're there to fundraise for an organization called *oh no. I just 4got what organisation we're fundraising 4! xp?!q* We're doing something good 4 a good cause! I will not be available on Friday & Saturday, but I will be back 2 tell you all about it on Sunday! ;)
The Olympics are drawing closer, day by day. We pray for that China will recover from the terrible shock of the Sichuan Earthquake and face this glorious event of their nation and the world with a positive attitude. We pray for global warming to stop and the environment to be saved. We pray for world peace. Please join in my prayers for tonight. I will deliver another prayer on the 6th of August, the day of the Hiroshima bombing - Peace Day, and another on the night of the Olympics 2 days afterwards. Enjoy! :)
My Tamagotchis evolved to teens today. Sun, a boy, is a Hinotamatchi, a meteor that looks like a little red fireball. Moon, a girl, is a Ringotchi, resembling a little apple, and last but not least, Star, another boy, is a Young Kuchipatchi, a smaller version of Kuchipatchi, a plump, green Tamagotchi with small round eyes and fat lips like the beak of a duck. I will download a character chart tomorrow to show you what they look like. Depending on skill points, I can navigate what they grow into. Star is definitely going to be Tarakotchi the naughty rebel, so I'll need to raise his artistic points. Moon will be a Marotchi, a round, plump one who loves ancient Japanese culture and wearing lipstick, so I'll need social points. Sun, I'm gonna continue bad care, no games, obese weight and all, because some bad-care universal characters are quite cool. I'm planning for Sun and Moon to mate and have babies for the next generation. As for Star, sorry, you'll have to wait for the matchmaker to bring you a lovely girl! Sun has officially declared that Moon is HIS! Lol is 4 lollipop xP

Life As A Musician
Please comment! Remember that poll!
I just came back from my piano lesson. I am currently studying Fur Elise. It's a beautiful piece of music, but there are difficult sections - it's pretty hard to play! Experienced piano players, please tell me in your comments tips on how to perform piano music well, thanks in advance!
Yeah, I play lots of music. I played the violin for 8 years (since I was 5, I'm 13 now), and the piano since year 6 (I'm in year 8 = second year middle school). I am in a lot of curricular and extra-curricular ensembles (playing the violin of course :p I'm not THAT flashin'ly good @ the piano :P) And I'm in choir too. I dream of singing solo in choir concerts when I get into Senior Choir! I can get into it NEXT YEAR Senior Choir at my school (I******* C****** - letters blocked out for privacy) is open to years 9 -12. Note that Year 9 is the third and last year of Middle School. That means... EXAMS 4 me next year... :( .:dread:.
Well I guess I have to leave now. Remember, COMMENT PLZ! ;)
P.S. How do you change the time on here??? My local time is GMT +9.5. All help is appreciated!

Update on my life:
I have been on a posting binge all day on, well, this forum thingy. I just came back from my violin lesson. My life is bored @ the moment.
Oh yes. My friend sent me an e-mail today with this massive convo attached. So yeah. Looks like I wouldn't have that much to Blog until something exciting happens, which would be, like, forever from now. School doesn't start until next week. Oh yes, school. We're getting this massive Community & Service project next term. And I have tons of concerts and stuff to participate in. Looks like I won't have much time to manage this Blog, so i better post a lot now!
Here's my story of two little alien characters and me, using a writing exercise:
Your main character has invited you to lunch. Where does he/she meet you?
Whackoko and Alphabetta were undercover aliens sent to Earth to search for the mystery Solar gems formed by pure solar heat to take back to their home galaxy Andromeda Spiral for further investigation about our Sun, the only star in a million lightyears from theirs that supports life. Whackoko, resembling a small, cute, rainbow-coloured panda-raccoon (or raccoon-panda?) with a fat, rounded torso and short, brown limbs, was off to the other side of the planet today to complete their mission. Alphabetta resembled a normal young girl with bright red hair with freckles and small, round eyes. She sort of looked beautiful to me, even. She called to meet me, the only Earth inhabitant to know this secret.
I was at Joe's coffee house at exactly 1 pm. It was cloudy and rainy, drizzling outside, but still warm. I looked around for her eye-catching long, flowing hair and pretty pink clothes. I saw her at the corner of the coffee house, carrying a tray with cappuccinos (fatty sweet sugary) and some burgers and fries from the fast food store nearby. She wore a cute lacy top and a pink miniskirt, to hide from other ignorant humans (i.e. not me) that she wasn't coming to talk about something important.
'Over here,' I called. On hearing that, Alphabetta came over to me with her food. 'Where's your lunch, HappyGirl?' she asked.
'Oh, I already had mine,' I replied, 'I don't like eating while discussing important things.'
'We can't let them hear what we're going to talk about,' Alphabetta eyed the passing customers suspiciously, 'this mission is top secret.'
'Should we talk through our minds?' I suggested.
So we did. In the eyes of passers, we were just sitting opposite each other silently, but we were actually in the middle of a serious conversation. So I knew that Whackoko was a naughty, curious 'little kids stereotype', and now that he was on his own, Alphabetta was really worried about him. He sure could disguise as an animal, but what if he does begin speaking? She needed to find him urgently. She asked me if they could hide at my house. 'This is a very important mission,' she announced solemnly, 'it is the first step to accomplish a bridge of harmonious friendship between the Andromeda Spiral and the Milky Way.'
I couldn't agree more.
Two of your characters have to change a flat tire, in the rain.
Alphabetta has finally found Whackoko, her alien little pet, who told her that he has found one piece of the Solar gem.
'We better get going,' Alphabetta urged, 'if the humans find us taking away resources from their planet, they won't ever give up on us.' And on saying that, they both jumped into HappyGirl's little red car, and drove off down the highway back into town.
'Oh *!' Alphabetta sweared this dirty human word HappyGirl taught her.
'What's wrong?' asked Whackoko, who sat in the seat next to her.
'Flat tire, dang,' she replied angrily, hopping out of the car, with Whackoko following her.
'Year 2200 and humans still invent cars with tires that can go flat?' Whackoko groaned.
'Well, they're starting to have better weapons for sure,' Alphabetta answered as she knelt down to take the flat tire off. The freezing rain poured on her back endlessly, hitting it rhythmically like beating a drum, and making her hair so wet they were draping all over her body.
'Weapons? You mean them?' Whackoko turned around frightfully, looking at the black shadows flying towards them like arrows.
Alphabetta stood up, looked forward, and froze. Humanoid robots! The government security must have sent those to attack them! Her predictions were right. The humans won't let them go easily. But she really needed to speak to the President. She and Whackoko were responsible for EVERYTHING.
Whackoko took out his sword and began battling, slaying every robot that charged at them fiercely like fireballs. But the sword was going blunt. 'Whacko, take this!' Alphabetta screamed, throwing her own sword to him.
'But what about you?' Whackoko asked.
'I'm alright!' Alphabetta screamed, 'I'll make a protective layer with my electric magical power!'
She sustained the layer as Whackoko destroyed the robots. But she was getting weak. She felt like collapsing. On the explosion of the last robot, she let go of the layer and lost consciousness.
'Alphabetta!' Whackoko cried, darting off to his friend. Made sure that she was alive, Whackoko took her and flew away from the land of danger.
So this, is how I lost my precious car. Mr Whackoko Forgetful, why didn't you even remember my flat tire???!!!
Your character is required to write a letter of introduction for your reader, describing themselves, their goals and motivations, and you.
Dear reader,
My name is Alphabetta. I came from Outer Trojan arm, Andromeda. I am about the equivalent of 12 years old human age. My companion for this mission is Whackoko Little, about 10 years human age. He got his name because he was really fun and wacky, and was a member of the miniature rainbow panda species. We are here to bring back to Trojan the Solar gem, to build a history of relationship and peace between Earth and our planet. It has always been my dream to connect my homeland to somewhere out there in this universe. Mayor President of the Outer Trojan Arm trusted me, and loved me liked his own daughter. He is my greatest motivation. Whenever I am in struggle and hardship, I would think about him, Whacko, my beautiful home planet, and its future with another beautiful planet - this one, the Earth. And yes. HappyGirl, my one and only and bestest ever human friend, is also a source of endless encouragement. We share the same interests and ambitions. I declare, that I will never forget her, no matter what. She is my friend always!
Signed
Alphabetta Gammadelta
Your character writes a letter to another friend or family member (or you!) about a friend.
Dear Alphabetta
I met an awesome friend today. He is sooooooo cool. He is the equivalent of Sweetagotchi to you.
His name is Kangaroo. But he's a wallaby. When the farmers who found and adopted him when he was a baby and left by his mother, they thought he was a kangaroo. I know it'll be waaaaaaay cooler to be friends with a kangaroo, but he's a wallaby who's cooooooler than a kangaroo!
Kangaroo is very smart and very fun. He taught me all you need to know about surviving in the Australian bush! That would helped a lot when I go on the reality show 'Survivors in Andromeda' when I grow up. I'm sooooooooo participating in that show! I can't wait!
See ya later
Whackoko
Ah, weird names.
I'm going to draw cartoons about them one day. Whackoko's gonna be really cute! And Alphabetta's gonna be really pretty!

My First Post!
Oh yes, this is my first post. I'm a first-time blogger xD And unfortunately this first post has to be about how bored my life is @ the moment rather than how exciting. Well, tons of exciting stuff happened last week - I had to go on music camp and this Chinese speech contest thingy (National and I had 2 represent the school!) I wouldn't tell u much about it cos its like giving away personal info on the web. NEVER give away ur personal info! It's very unsafe.
Now a little bit about myself. Well I live in South Aus & I wont tell u where, could be the capital city or Salt Creek or Mt Gambier or not even in the state I could B on Mt Everest & lying!!! I love art&music&reading&creative writing and I have a passion 4 fashion. Not really following the latest trends but just simply lookin' good 'n' pretty. I wish I had a webcam so I could photo my fave pieces of clothing 2 show 2 u & hear ur comments about it! I have no pets but I have 3 tamagotchis (does that count?!) They're up 2 15th generation @ the moment & I heart them with all my heart. Here's another top reason why I need a webcam sooo bad cos I can take a photo of them. I might upload a character chart later and show u what they look like.
C U later I'll update again @ night.
P.S. I LOVE this font! I probably would keep it like this 4eva
